Daisy Clayton is an abstract artist and Soho House creative mentor from Oxfordshire. Before pursuing her art professionally in 2019, she graduated from Queen Mary University London with a Masters Degree in psychology. Using her background in psychology, she built upon her previous skills as a painter by focusing her interest on how a painting can make someone feel and the emotions it may evoke.

Daisy uses acrylics, texture, collage and gold leaf to depict a balance of calming tones and contrasting colours. Inspired by light, nature, skylines and the changing seasons, Daisy is interested in how something can be re-represented in an abstract form. She develops layers of texture and colour as she centres her work around a point of light, often for dramatic effect. Daisy aims to create a sense of calm and peace in the viewer whilst inducing memories and providing room for unique interpretation.

Daisy's paintings are traded through Buckingham Fine Art publishers and are listed in galleries across the UK.  Daisy's paintings have featured in The World of InteriorsGQ magazine and Vanity Fair.

"We commissioned Daisy to paint four 100cm x 100cm canvases for our new Head Office in London’s Docklands. We chose four very different photographs of iconic East London landmarks, but gave Daisy freedom to add the her contemporary style – we are absolutely delighted with the results, particularly because these were turned around so quickly so we had them for the opening of the office.

I would like to also say how easy Daisy was to deal with, nothing was too much trouble and she was very responsive to our requests and feedback on each piece of artwork. She arranged for all to be framed and delivered to us by courier which was a great additional service, and one less thing for us to worry about.

I would highly recommend Daisy's art."
